After weeks of heartbreak in Home and Away, Lacey Miller is finally breaking her silence. Ever since that awful hit-and-run that took Theo Poulos’ life, she’s been living with guilt, grief, and anger from all sides. But now, as she opens up about what really happened that night, her confession stirs up even more chaos in Summer Bay, and not everyone is ready to forgive her.
Lacey’s Plan for Justice Takes a Deadly Turn
It all started when Lacey discovered that Councillor Craig Wendell was behind her mum’s death in a car crash. Broken and furious, she wanted him to admit what he’d done, so she came up with a risky plan to blackmail him into confessing. But instead of facing up to his crime, Craig decided to silence her for good.

When the two met, things turned horrifying. Craig tried to run her down, and Theo jumped in at the very last second to push her out of the way. He saved her life, but the car hit him instead, leaving Lacey helpless as the man she loved took his final breath. Craig sped off, leaving the community shattered. The tragedy has shaken everyone in Summer Bay, and what started as a mission for justice has turned into heartbreak no one saw coming.
Home and Away: Leah and Cassandra Clash in Grief
As the town struggles to cope with Theo’s death, the blame game begins. TV Week reveals that Leah Patterson’s grief quickly turns into anger, and she directs it straight at Lacey. Leah insists Theo wouldn’t have been in danger if Lacey hadn’t dragged him into her plan, and she makes no effort to hide her fury.

Then, Theo’s mum Cassandra returns to the Bay, and the tension explodes. Sergeant David Langham updates her on the situation, and she’s horrified by everything her son went through. Cassandra feels betrayed, believing Leah failed to keep her promise to look after Theo. Their heated argument ends with Cassandra warning Leah not to come to the funeral.
Cash’s Race to Catch Wendell
While emotions boil over, Cash Newman and Sergeant Langham turn their focus to finding Craig Wendell. The disgraced councillor has been in hiding since the crash but during Theo’s funeral, the officers finally spot him lurking nearby.

They chase him through the streets in a desperate bid to catch him. At one point, Cash manages to pin Wendell down. But the killer refuses to surrender and breaks free, disappearing once again. And it leaves the Bay wondering if Wendell will ever face the consequences of what he’s done.
Meanwhile, Cash refuses to give up until Craig Wendell is caught. But until that day comes, there’s no peace for anyone in the Bay. Theo’s death has left a hole that can’t be filled, and even as the sun sets over Summer Bay, it’s clear that this tragedy has changed everything forever.
