An iconic face of Australian television from Home and Away turned heads this week when she stepped onto a beachside set in Sydney’s Clovelly, looking dramatically different from the character millions know and love.
The award-winning star appeared almost unrecognisable as cameras rolled for her brand-new mini-series, marking a powerful return after a challenging health journey that once forced her to step away from work.
Georgie Parker Spotted Filming New Mini-Series In Clovelly
Georgie Parker, best known for playing Roo Stewart on Home and Away, filmed scenes for her upcoming mini-series Dalliance in Clovelly on Thursday.
The 61-year-old double Gold Logie winner appeared completely immersed in the shoot as she stood by the water during a break between takes. The former All Saints star wore an aqua jacket zipped over what looked like a black bathing suit, leaving her long brunette hair loose around her shoulders.

She kept her look natural and went makeup-free as the crew prepared for water-based scenes. At one point, she carried a pair of goggles and stepped into the water while boom microphones hovered above her head, capturing every moment.
She walked barefoot along the set and chatted intently with a crew member, soaking up the sun between takes. Onlookers noted how at ease she looked by the ocean, fully focused on her role despite the physical demands of filming on location.
Home and Away Star’s Return Comes After Major Health Battle
Georgie’s latest project comes more than a year after she paused her career to recover from her second hip replacement surgery in six years. In June 2024, she shared candid hospital photos and images of herself using crutches, openly documenting her post-surgery rehabilitation journey.

At the time, she revealed she was three weeks into recovery and remained determined to return to work. “I’ve been busy. Finishing a play and then straight into another theatre (get it) for a new hip,” she wrote, adding that it was her second replacement in six years. She thanked the “brilliant surgeon and his team” who operated on her again, making it clear she trusted them completely.
Roo star admitted she didn’t enjoy the medication but embraced the rehabilitation process. She shared that she was three weeks post-op, that recovery was going well, and that her family, workplace and friends had supported her every step of the way. Practising patience while healing, she said she wanted to “get back to work, baby” as soon as possible. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Home and Away spoilers.
