Things have been hectic in Home and Away lately, especially with Kirby’s big album launch right around the corner. Everyone’s pulling together to make it a success, but one important person hasn’t shown up, and it’s starting to worry those closest to him.
Remi Cracks Under Pressure as Deadlines Close In
Remi has been putting in long hours lately. After funding Kirby’s second attempt at a solo career, he’s been deep in mixing tracks, barely getting any sleep, and handling another commitment as a featured artist on Avalon Bracken’s album.
Then came an unexpected twist. Justin discovered that Kirby’s dream venue suddenly had an opening, and the only available date was just a week away. Now, Remi had to finish everything quickly. Things got worse when Avalon offered him a little “energy boost” in the form of a suspicious sachet. Remi initially declined.
When Kirby and Avalon suggested a duet, Remi hesitated, but Justin persuaded him to agree. Feeling overwhelmed, Remi almost rejected the drugs, but the temptation proved too strong.
Later, when the girls returned to the share house, Remi was busy mixing. Kirby thought his mood was due to stress, but Avalon recognized the signs right away. When they spoke privately, Remi admitted he felt terrible, but he also mentioned finishing more tracks.
Launch Plans Take a Turn in Home and Away
Just when things seemed to calm down, Kirby unexpectedly decided to scrap the duet, saying it felt rushed. Remi was not happy. Still, this meant the launch was back on track, only three days away now.
Justin checked in and offered more time, but Remi declined. Once he was alone, he pulled out the sachet again. Actor Adam Rowland told TV Week that Remi views this as a temporary fix. He said, “He has such a small window to finish the album, and he thinks he can only do that with stimulants to keep him awake.”
Meanwhile, Kirby told Justin she preferred hosting the launch at Salt instead of a larger venue. It felt more relaxed and fit her style better. But instead of slowing down, Justin booked Salt for the same date, leaving Mac just two days to prepare the place.
As time passed, Remi went to a hotel to work alone. Justin bombarded him with texts, but there was no reply. Bree became worried too, Remi hadn’t come home, even though he said he would. She and Eden checked his room. The bed was untouched.
A Shocking Discovery at Home
Bree found Justin and Sonny at the surf club, where preparations were already underway. Justin hadn’t heard from Remi either and was clearly shaken. He told Mackenzie, “How are we meant to have a successful album launch if we don’t have a finished album?”
The launch began that night with lots of glitz. Avalon posted about it on social media, attracting a crowd that included three music producers from Melbourne. Kirby entered to cheers from the balcony, unaware of what was really going on.
Back at the share house, Remi finally answered Justin’s call, but he could barely stay awake. He hung up mid-conversation and collapsed on his bed. Bree kept calling but got no answer. “I have this feeling that something isn’t right,” she told Avalon and Eden.
Hearing this, Justin asked Sonny to check on Remi. Sonny rushed over and what he found was alarming. Remi lay completely still on his bed, unresponsive. Sonny shook him, trying to wake him, but nothing worked. Then he noticed it, an empty sachet next to him.
We are left with a huge question, will Remi be okay? The stress, lack of sleep, and drugs have finally caught up with him. Kirby’s big night might look perfect on the surface, but behind closed doors, it is falling apart. Now that everyone knows something is seriously wrong, the fallout could change everything.
