Roo’s best friend, Marilyn Chambers, sensed something was off with the new girl and warned her right away. Then, there’s Tane Parata, who felt similar eerie vibes from Eliza during the mentoring sessions at the Surf Club.
Subsequently, he also alerted Roo to be cautious of her new foster child. Now, the latest scenes reveal that Marilyn does a little background check on the newcomer. She reaches out to Eliza’s previous foster family and realizes the ultimate horror. They believe that Roo’s new child torched their house. Oh god!
However, Roo wants to give this new mother-daughter situation a try and puts her faith in Eliza. But the girl’s creepy behavior sends shivers down Marilyn’s spine, and she moves out of the Stewart house. Now, Roo is all alone with the troubled teen. While the woman thinks everything is under control, she can no longer ignore her gut feeling.
Roo Stumbles Upon Eliza’s History
So, she starts her research and comes across a secret treasure box Eliza brought with her. And nope, the box isn’t loaded with typical teenager stuff but has some seriously unsettling things. Roo finds a scratched-out photo, a lighter, and a knife that mysteriously vanished from Alf’s belongings.
The most horrifying part? Roo starts connecting the dots but soon realizes her daughter is standing at the doorway. Is Eliza planning to strike Roo down now that her truth is exposed? We don’t know, but we pray that Roo will survive. The latest trailer aired in Australia teased the story would “explode.”
