Home and Away spoilers: Sonny Gets Jealous of His Bestie
Home and Away spoilers reveal that poor Sonny is having one of those gloomy days. He’s just looking to hang with his bestie Remi, but he’s busy planning a romantic beach picnic for Bree. Sadly, he completely ditches Sonny and doesn’t meet him even for a quick round of beer.
Subsequently, Sonny tries to chill with other townies, including Theo, Kirby, and Rose, but he’s rejected left and right. Meanwhile, Remi tells Bree that he has planned this picnic in memory of her father’s passing. Aww. Bree is obviously moved by this gesture and tells him how happy and grateful she is.
Sonny catches this sweet scene, but he doesn’t see it that way. To him, it’s another reminder that his best friend always seems to be winning at life. Additionally, Sonny starts getting a bit frustrated, wondering why Remi always gets everything while he struggles for the bare minimum. But that’s not all the emotional drama going on in the Bay this week!
Irene Reveals Why She’s Avoiding John
Irene earlier called John and admitted to feeling scared, but he assured her and made her return. However, things get a little heavy for her now that she’s back. She has started avoiding John completely, leaving her friends scratching their heads. They think they’re helping when they push Irene to spend more time with John.
Ultimately, she flips out and confesses that spending time with him is like rubbing salt on her wounds. Additionally, she doesn’t hold back in describing John as a “painful reminder” of all her terrible decisions. In fact, he’s the one who made Irene hit her lowest before succumbing to alcoholism.
The revelation stuns everyone around her, but John takes the hardest blow. He finally decides it’s time to do something about it and opts for a swift exit. He tells Irene that Jett is not well and that he has to leave Summer Bay to visit him. It’s a lie meant to give her space but it does leave the future of their friendship hanging in the balance.
