He finds himself staring at the bag of drugs Avalon gave him and, desperate for an edge, makes the dangerous choice to use again, believing it’s the only way to get through the workload.
With Remi still missing from the party, Justin sends Sonny to check on him. What Sonny finds is shocking, Remi passed out in his room beside a bag of drugs. He drags Remi into the shower, trying to revive him in time for the launch.
Though Remi manages to show up at Salt, his first move is to ask Avalon for another fix. She hands it over but warns him he’s playing with fire. After the event, Bree presses Sonny for answers about Remi’s behaviour.

David and Harper dig deeper into Cohen’s background but discover a blank space where his father’s name should be on his birth certificate. The revelation adds to the mystery surrounding the boy’s family.
Meanwhile, Cohen, unaware that his mother has left him, decides to write her a heartfelt letter. Roo takes the note from him, deeply saddened as she tries to figure out how and when to tell him the painful truth about Samantha’s abandonment.
Trying to protect Cohen’s feelings, Roo pretends to have mailed his letter to Samantha. She follows Harper’s advice, doing what she can to shield him from the harsh truth of his mother’s departure.
Cash later spends time with Cohen and opens up about his own experiences in foster care. Their conversation helps Cash uncover where Cohen’s grandmother might be, and David, moved by Cash’s efforts, offers a peace gesture to the police officer.
