Roo’s world is shaken as secrets come to light, leading to a dramatic farewell. Next week on Home and Away, Eliza Sherwood reaches her breaking point as all her hidden secrets come out. Roo starts to ask questions, and what she finds is darker than she expected.
Roo Connects the Dots
It all begins when Roo notices Eliza’s odd reaction during Alf’s recent health scare. Eliza didn’t help at all. Feeling uneasy, Roo speaks with Harper, hoping her social work experience might shed some light. Tane soon joins the conversation and reveals a shocking detail, Eliza secretly recorded Harper during her labor.
Harper is stunned. No one had informed her. Suddenly, Eliza’s earlier actions start to look less like innocent mistakes. Digging deeper, the trio checks Eliza’s phone and finds that she never called emergency services when Harper needed help. That lie could have put both Harper and the baby in serious danger.
Eliza Confesses Everything in Home and Away
Back at home, Roo checks Eliza’s music box again, and finds disturbing items inside: a photo of Harper in labour and Alf’s missing heart medication. That’s the final straw. When confronted, Eliza admits she may have wanted Alf to die. She also confesses that she lied about the other “souvenirs” in the box.
Realising the threat Eliza poses, Roo files a report, and it’s decided Eliza will leave the Stewart home for psychiatric care. Even after everything, Roo tries to say goodbye with compassion. She offers Eliza a few parting words of kindness, hoping there’s still a chance for redemption down the line. But Eliza isn’t interested in forgiveness.
Instead, she turns ice-cold and calls Roo the “worst foster carer” she’s ever had. The words are clearly meant to hurt, and they do. All Roo ever wanted was to help this girl feel safe, wanted, and loved. But after all this, will she ever feel strong enough to open her home again?
