There Was A Generational War Within The Palace

A new royal book, Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History by Hugo Vickers, has revealed a major secret about Meghan Markle. According to the book, Meghan Markle was initially a massive hit with palace staff.

Even the younger generation welcomed her. However, the book claims that senior royals were much more sceptical from the beginning. According to Vickers, there was a generational war underway before the Sussexes ever walked down the aisle. It also reveals that Prince Harry would never have been allowed to marry someone like Meghan earlier in the Queen’s reign.

Prince Philip also referred to her simply as “The American.” Meanwhile, Prince Charles advised Harry to have fun with her but not marry her. Even the Queen suggested them to wait a year before they tie the knot. Hence, these tensions increased after the wedding. It also led to a major public fallout. Next, Meghan and Harry moved to California to raise their children.
