Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a soothing video last week. They shared it to support the UK’s Big Butterfly Count. However, the Royals fans found it to be familiar. On 18 July, they posted to their official Instagram account. In the video, there were butterflies flying through the sunny gardens. The caption urged people to spend 15 minutes spotting butterflies to help track their populations across the UK.
It was a feel-good post, but royal fans observed the significance behind it. The couple posted it a few days before Prince George’s birthday on July 22. It reminds me of a family moment from 2014. When George was 1, the couple took him to the Butterfly exhibition at London’s Natural History Museum. The trip led to a special birthday portrait in which little George is wearing blue and white clothes and watching butterflies with his parents.
