After a tough battle with cancer, Kate Middleton has started to venture out in the public more often. The Princess was most recently spotted visiting Southport with her husband Prince William. This visit marked her first community royal engagement of the year since her cancer diagnosis.
The Royal couple met with emergency responders and the families of the three young girls who were stabbed to death at a dance class earlier this year. While nothing can undo what happened with the girls, the Prince and Princess’ support must have surely eased the ache a little bit. On the internet, the royal fans expressed their delight to see Kate Middleton out and about, but they also noticed something jarring.
Many fans were quick to point out that the princess was not wearing her engagement ring. Instead of that, she was sporting a new pair of jewelry on her ring finger. GB news is reporting that Kate’s new piece of jewelry which appears to be a thin gold ring is a new version of an eternity band.
Tobias Kormind, the co-founder and MD of 77 Diamonds, Europe’s largest online diamond jeweler, told GB News that the new ring could symbolise William and Kate’s love. “Kate’s new ring may be a symbol of hope for new beginnings, with an emotional tie to the past,” the jeweler stated.
Eternity rings symbolize everlasting love, and this style of ring matches the same sentiment that Kate presented in the emotional video she released earlier. Perhaps swapping her engagement ring with the new band in a way represents the growth that has come in her and William’s relationship during the thick and thin of life.
