Kate’s Festive Gesture For The Royal Marsden

Royal Marsden confirmed that Kate has donated a Christmas tree for display at the entrance of the Oak Cancer Centre in Sutton. The Princess had undergone her cancer treatment there last year before she entered remission. Therefore, the hospital means so much to her. Additionally, the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is an excellent cancer hospital. It is a place that is known for innovative treatments and research.

When Kate recovered, she and Prince William became official patrons of the hospital. It was their long-term commitment towards cancer awareness campaigns. They had also committed to patient support and improved research initiatives. Officials at the Royal Marsden say that Kate’s donation is her way of appreciating the institution and its staff.

The Christmas tree is placed to bring positivity to patients, their families and also to healthcare professionals who walk through the facility. Even the hospital representatives say that Kate’s gesture came when the families were already facing challenges.

The same Christmas tree was displayed previously at the Together At Christmas Carol Service hosted at Westminster Abbey. Moreover, it’s the fifth year of the event. Kate created this because she wanted to honour community volunteers and organisations. It’s to support others during difficult circumstances.

It was the first time in six months that the three Welsh children were seen together. They wrote their names on colourful parchment. They later formed a decorative chain, which was placed on a tree outside the Abbey. Elsewhere, many healthcare workers and individuals involved in local support networks were a part of the event.

Moreover, after her treatment, Kate reduced her public timetable. She wanted to rest and enjoy family time. According to reports, she and William kept many engagements private. Then by early autumn, she returned to selected royal duties. For more Royal News and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
