Kate Middleton recently dressed diplomatically to welcome the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife. She wore an outfit designed by a British Nigerian fashion designer. Elsewhere, the royals adjusted their protocols for Ramadan. Keep reading to know more. 

   

Kate Middleton Pulls Off A Smart Move Amid Nigerian President’s Visit!

Kate Middleton and Prince William officially welcomed the President and First Lady of Nigeria for their state visit to the U.K. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Oluremi Tinubu are on a three-day tour to the country. King Charles honoured them at a state banquet at Windsor Castle.

However, Prince William and Kate Middleton carried out the first duty of the day. They greeted the president and his wife at the Luxury spa hotel Fairmont Windsor Park. Then the Wales pair escorted them to the town centre to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla.

The Princess of Wales wore a grey coat dress designed by Tolu Coker, who is a young British-Nigerian designer. She also matched her outfit with a grey Jane Tayloe hat decorated with a white bow, and also wore Diana’s earrings.

Meanwhile, the King and Queen met the Nigerian leader and his wife. They were escorted to a red carpeted dais outside Windsor and Eton Riverside train station by the Wales couple. There were green-and-white Nigerian flags on the streets. Furthermore, there were Union flags and an oversized Royal Standard flying from the top of Windsor Castle’s Round Tower. 

King Charles And Queen Camilla Welcomed The Nigerian President!

Elsewhere, Queen Camilla wore a pink crepe dress and a hat, while King Charles wore a traditional morning suit with a black top hat in his hand. Prince William also mirrored his father and carried a hat with a blue waistcoat. King Charles welcomed Tinubu with a smile and handshake.

Over 1000 troops were out in the force for the diplomatic show of soft power. Then the King and the president travelled in the Australian State Coach through the streets of the Berkshire town. They were followed by Camilla, Kate, William, Mrs Tinubu, Lateef and Bina in the State Coach.

A guard of Honour welcomed the guests. Charles and Camilla invited their guests to the exhibition of Nigerian items. There was also a tiny manuscript by Sir Ben Okri. The Queen told the First Lady that it goes in the doll’s house. Kate and William also said that it is so beautiful. 

A Huge Banquet Was Held At Windsor Castle!

Furthermore, King Charles spoke about a portrait of a Nigerian man made by James Hart Dyke. Elsewhere, a huge banquet was held at Windsor Castle. Furthermore, there were extensive security measures. Meanwhile, Ahmed Tinubu arrived in the U.K. even after the attacks in Nigeria.

Elsewhere, the last Nigerian visit to the U.K. was in 1989 when Queen Elizabeth II welcomed Ibrahim Babangida. Meanwhile, this time King Charles changed royal protocols due to Ramadan. Tinubu aims to boost business ties between the U.K. and Nigeria. Thus, new Nigerian companies are expanding in the U.K., which will create many jobs.
