Kate Middleton has warned about the dangers of children becoming too dependent on technology. The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood published an essay named The Power of Human Connection in a Distracted World by Kate. It is written by Professor Robert Waldinger of Harvard University. It warns people about dependency on technology and encourages them to have real human connections.
The Princess of Wales also stated in the essay that over the past seventy years, people have been spending less time connecting with each other, like having family dinners and joining clubs and communities.
Kate Middleton added that many people don’t have anyone with whom they can share their lives. Though technology is helpful, it has also played a big role in disconnecting humans from each other. Kate and the Professor added that devices are supposed to link people, but it isn’t happening.
Technology Leads To Disconnection!
In the statement, they both mentioned that while checking the phones or scrolling through social media during family dinners or replying to emails while playing with the children, it withdraws connection. They wrote that it not only distracts but also breaks the link. Kate explained that this issue is bigger for today’s generation, as they are growing up being surrounded by digital technology.
