Since Theo landed in the hospital in Home and Away, things have been intense lately. But next week, things are about to go up several notches. With Gage’s court case looming and tensions running high, Theo and Sonny find themselves in the middle of yet another terrifying situation.
Trouble Has Been Brewing
It all goes back to the brutal attack that left Theo seriously injured. Gage had found out about Theo’s affair with Lacey, and in true River Boy fashion, he didn’t take it well. Theo ended up pinned under his own car, and if Sonny hadn’t stepped in, it could’ve been a whole lot worse.
Sonny didn’t escape unharmed either, he was roughed up by one of Gage’s guys, Spanner. To protect the witnesses, the police placed Lacey in a safehouse and assigned a guard to Theo’s hospital bed. Sonny, meanwhile, was hiding out at a motel with private security thanks to Remi.
During this time, Sonny and Dana started growing closer, while Theo’s world came crashing down after Lacey called to end things for both their safety. He blamed Leah for getting in the way and refused to go home.
Eventually, Theo moved into the pier apartment with Sonny, where Bree thought they’d be better protected. But that sense of safety didn’t last long. Lacey suddenly turned up at the apartment, revealing she’d left the safehouse and wouldn’t be testifying. She thought the danger had passed, but the River Boys had followed her right back to town.
A Dangerous Detour
Things went downhill fast. One of the River Boys, Diesel, followed Dana and warned her that Sonny should keep quiet. The next morning, Theo, Sonny, Lacey, and Dana all piled into a people carrier, flanked by guards, heading to court. But no one realised they were being followed. On the road to Reefton Lakes, a tree blocked their path. As the guards stepped out to move it, Lacey sensed something was off.
She was right. Masked River Boys came out of the bush and took them by surprise. The guards were quickly overpowered. Sonny tried to escape by getting into the driver’s seat, but another car pulled up behind them. The gang ordered Lacey and Dana out, then drove off with Theo and Sonny. Dana’s phone was taken, but Lacey claimed she didn’t have one, saying the police had kept it. In reality, she had hidden it in the car.
A Race Against Time in Home and Away
Lacey and Dana made their way back to town and managed to alert Cash, who jumped into action with Tane. When they told Cash about the hidden phone, he realised they could use it to track the kidnappers. At the station, Cash found out the trial would continue despite the ambush, using only written statements. Lacey knew this could put everything at risk, and she decided she wanted to testify anyway.
Meanwhile, Theo and Sonny were stranded in the bush, with Theo in bad shape. They had barely any water and no clue where they were. Sonny found painkillers for Theo, but time wasn’t on their side. Then, he discovered the phone Lacey had hidden. He managed to get a signal and called for help. Just as hope returned, the River Boys showed up again, furious about the trial’s outcome.
Final Blow in Home and Away
Back at the station, Leah and Justin arrived, desperate for news. When Leah blamed Lacey for Theo’s situation, things got heated fast. Cash had to step in and ask her to leave, not wanting any more chaos. Word soon came through that Gage had been found guilty. But instead of relief, it only heightened the danger. The River Boys had more reason now to silence Theo and Sonny.
Out in the bush, Theo was bleeding again when the River Boys grabbed him. Sonny, hiding nearby, saw them hurt Theo. Diesel demanded Sonny show himself, threatening to keep hurting Theo. Sonny had no choice but to surrender.
Now, with the River Boys closing in, Cash and Tane are the only hope of getting to them in time. But even if they do, the question remains, what will the River Boys do next? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest drama from Home and Away.
