As King Charles prepares for his highly anticipated royal tour to Australia, there’s more than just tradition and diplomacy in his luggage. The King is believed to be putting precautionary medical measures in place ahead of his upcoming royal tour to Australia. The British monarch will reportedly have his medical team on standby round-the-clock during his Royal trip from October 18 to 26. A report by The Times suggests that Charles will be “monitored closely during the visit.” He will be carrying out engagements Down Under before heading to Samoa for CHOGM.
King Charles is set to continue with his cancer treatment right up until he flies, but his doctors are happy for it to be briefly stopped while he is away on his high-profile trip. A publication also noted that the measures taken to support Charles abroad are “the same as arrangements put in place for the late Queen.” They will reportedly travel with a supply of the king’s blood to ensure a match if a transfusion is required.

“The decision to have round-the-clock doctors with him was made for his safety, and even though it took some talking to him to make him relent, he has done the sensible thing and allowed the medics to be with him at all times,” a source told RadarOnline. The monarch will also be getting medical teams during the trip. According to reports, Charles’ schedule will include a rest day, and there will be no evening engagements.
Along with all this, King Charles’ health will also be taken into consideration by the flight he’s travelling by. Royal fans know that the monarch’s hands become swollen during air travel, so they will also be looked after. For more such updates on the royal family, keep following Soap Opera Daily!
