EastEnders: Tointon Opens Up About Her BIG Mishap!
The Dawn Swan Actress opened up about her injury to OK!. “The irony is that I love stunt work and wish over the years I had done more of it.” Why the irony? Because Tointon is a trained gymnast! Moreover, she expressed that her knee buckled, and she fell down painfully. “I’d torn the ACL – a ligament that helps connect the thigh bone to the shinbone,” Kara explained.
In addition, the former EastEnders star struggled to walk for the final two weeks. It’s shocking because Kara is trained in gymnastics and usually does her own stunts. However, it all went belly-up in no time this time. She continued, “‘I couldn’t even dance at the show’s wrap party. Although I gave it a go!” That’s sad, folks!
Tointon was in EastEnders for about four years, between 2005 and 2009. Her character Dawn was involved in some crazy storylines, like getting nabbed by Dr May Wright and Rob Minter. Dawn left Walford with boyfriend Garry Hobbs, and since then, the actress has starred in many TV shows.
Her filmography includes Mr. Selfridge, The Halcyon, and Bedlam. Additionally, Kara shook a leg in the eighth season of Strictly Come Dancing in 2010 and stood champion! Nevertheless, EastEnders buffs just want to know when she will return to Albert Square. “I really enjoy doing lots of other things, so I can’t see it, no,” Tointon replied.
So, Kara is not so keen on returning to Walford anytime soon. Here’s hoping she does wonders in whatever future venture she partakes in! In the meantime, keep reading Soap Opera Daily for all the burning EastEnders spoilers, updates on celebs, and news.
