EastEnders: Linda’s Exit Strategy Unleashes Dramatic Row with Elaine
She has spent over a decade pulling pints and keeping the Carter legacy alive, but now she is ready to walk away. Her choice sparks a wave of drama that could tear the family apart.
Linda has had enough. Ever since Mick went missing and Elaine became co-owner, she has been left to do everything by herself, particularly since Elaine has become increasingly unstable following her recent breakup with George. Linda informs her mum that next week she is willing to sell her half of The Vic, but the exchange does not go well.
Elaine is caught off guard and tries to stop her, but it quickly turns into a heated argument. Flustered, Linda walks out and opens up to George at the cafe. He urges her to see it from Elaine’s side. But when Elaine notices them conversing, she makes the worst assumption that they are conspiring against her.
Elaine Cracks Under Pressure as Second Collapse Raises Big Questions
Hungry to take charge, Elaine sits down with a bank manager, but the scheme fails. She then attempts to recruit Johnny as a silent partner, but he declines. She takes the rejections seriously. Subsequently, in a fit of emotional breakdown, Elaine empties The Vic and assaults Linda once more, only to mysteriously faint before her.
Elaine attempts to dismiss what happened as a panic attack, but it becomes obvious something more serious is wrong. Linda, who feels guilty and torn, begins to have second thoughts. But Johnny tells her that she must sell the house. But just as they get back to The Vic, Elaine collapses over once more.
