Maddison Says Life On Home and Away Set Feels Like A Rite Of Passage
Maddison Brown has worked since she was five. Elsewhere, she did films, television, commercials, fashion shoots and beauty campaigns. Moreover, this was long before she walked into Summer Bay. And despite all that is behind her, she still calls Home and Away a rite of passage. She says that it feels like something every Australian actor goes through at some point.
She joined the show in June as Jo Langham and directly stepped into the main cast. The actress also said that the entire team shoots around one hundred scenes each week. And whenever she says it still sounds wild. She also compared it to her work in the United States. And it includes her breakout turn as Kirby Anders in Dynasty. They used to shoot between twenty-five and thirty scenes instead.
However, she says that the sets in Australia feel more grounded. Over there, people turn up, do the job and leave their ego at the door. However, it was an easy decision for her when she decided to leave the United States. She had spent more than ten years living in West Hollywood and Atlanta. So when she decided to return, it felt right yet bittersweet.
Now, her family lives in Sydney. Also, her sunscreen and beauty line, Outside Beauty and Skincare, is also based there. That’s one of the reasons she is close to her business partner, her sister Allyson.
Outside The Bay, Maddison Builds Something New
Even though this show takes a lot of her time, her world stretches beyond the set. She also spoke about this next phase as something wider than only acting. She will also attend the award for the first time in a dark robe-style gown by Common Hours. And with lab-grown Pandora diamonds adding the shine.
