Megan Walsh from Coronation Street is used to getting what she wants, but this time, the walls are starting to close in. With teenage Will Driscoll doing exactly what she tells him and Daniel Osbourne unknowingly helping her keep up appearances, Megan thinks she’s covered every angle.
But Daniel drops one comment that forces her to change her entire plan, and Sam Blakeman begins asking the kind of questions Megan can’t afford to answer.
Megan Tries to Dump Daniel Until Will’s Name Changes Everything
Will Driscoll tells Megan Walsh that she needs to split up with Daniel Osbourne. But he is unaware of the real reason Megan is seeing Daniel.
To stop anyone getting suspicious, Megan starts seeing Daniel, using the school teacher as a convenient cover while she continues manipulating Will. And now that Will knows Megan is pregnant with his baby, he decides she has to end things with Daniel.
At the Bistro, Megan sits down with Daniel fully intending to break up with him. But when Daniel mentions Will and Megan instantly changes gears. Daniel has watched Will with Megan at school, and with Will recently vandalising a car.
And, Daniel believes the situation needs reporting to Crawshaw. Megan panics because if Crawshaw gets involved, Will could easily end up blurting out the truth about her. So Megan shuts Daniel down, and calls it a bad idea. She even distracts him by saying she feels like she’s falling for him.
Sam Starts Connecting the Dots, And Will Slips Up
In upcoming scenes, Sam Blakeman grows suspicious when Leanne Battersby shows Megan a boy’s tracksuit top she found in the flat. Megan quickly claims it belongs to Daniel. But Sam doesn’t buy it for a second and his doubts only get louder. Out on the street, Sam corners Will and asks if something is going on between him and Miss Walsh.
Will lies through his teeth, acts like it’s a ridiculous idea, and walks away like he’s shut the whole thing down. But then Sam spots the tracksuit top sitting inside Will’s sports bag, and suddenly Sam may have the proof he needs. Later, in the Rovers, a rattled Will warns Megan that Sam suspects they’re having an affair.
Megan doesn’t brush it off this time; she looks genuinely alarmed as she realises Sam isn’t going to drop it. She then finds Sam in Speed Daal doing his homework. Will Megan confront him before he tells someone else? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
