Meghan Markle Opened Up About Royal Racism
Meghan Markle has never shied away from recalling the lack of support she and Prince Harry felt from the senior royal family members. The royal mother-of-two opened up about this during her bombshell interview with Oprah three years ago. After rumors swirled that she made Princess Kate cry over a bridesmaid dress issue, Meghan said that was not protected by The Firm.
While speaking to Oprah, Markle confessed, “That was hard to reconcile because it was only once we were married that everything started to really worsen. I came to understand that not only was I not being protected. But they were willing to lie to protect other members of the family.” She also added that the royals were not willing to tell the truth to protect ‘me and my husband.’
During the interview, the former Suits actress also spoke about how the royals had concerns about how dark their son Archie’s skin might be before he was born in 2019. Meghan Markle also talked about how she was under harsh scrutiny by the British press. And how all of this affected her mental health. Prince Harry also shed light on the issue. He mentioned, “no one from my family ever said anything,” reports the Express.

This interview came after Meghan & Harry stepped down as senior working royal members in 2020. The royal feud has gotten worse with every passing minute. And there have been no efforts to end it from either side. Now, the estranged royal couple resides in LA with their two kids in a mansion.
