It looks like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are living their American dream after quitting the royal life. The Duke has been busy stepping down from Sentebale, the charity he co-founded back in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. In the meantime, Meghan has made a comeback on Netflix with her new show, With Love, Meghan. But trouble’s brewing for them in the UK, and it’s not looking pretty!
Meghan Markle: Will Harry and Meghan Lose It All?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal titles are in danger! Yep, palace insiders told The New York Post those shiny royal badges might not survive the next big crown shake-up. Why? Speculations tell us that Prince William might strip them of their titles once he becomes King.
A palace aide told the Daily Beast, “It’s no secret William wants Harry more harshly dealt with.” They revealed that William thinks Harry has betrayed the family left and right, which is the “ultimate Windsor crime.” Mind you, the Sussexes have already lost their right to get taxpayer-funded security after they left for the States in 2020.
And let’s not forget that the couple had to vacate the fancy Frogmore Cottage following the “Megxit.” Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan’s HRH titles weren’t part of this deal. They have to keep them, but there’s a catch—they can’t use them officially.
Since then, the US-based royals have leveraged those titles, using them selectively for their personal projects and shaping their public persona. Recently, the Suits actress reposted a social media message in which the Ukrainian Vice President addressed her as “Your Royal Highness.”
Prince William Won’t Stand It Anymore
It did catch some eyeballs but not in a good way. In addition, one source highlighted how Markle was “using her HRH on a website which seems to exist to sell jam.” They think Meghan deliberately posted an unedited message on her stories to flex her royal association. So, what’s King Charles doing about all this? Not much.
“Charles isn’t going to open a new front in the civil war on the basis of one Instagram post,” an insider explained. They think that things will change when William inherits the throne.” The future King will snatch if the misuse of badges continues for long. One wrong move from the Sussexes could cost them their royal identities!
