Ashley Hansen, the Global Press Secretary and Head of Communications for Meghan and Prince Harry, has planned to step down from her position. She has been working for more than two years and is leaving her role to launch her own public relations firm.
A source confirmed that the Sussexes will be Hansen’s inaugural clients at her Los Angeles-based consulting company, Three Gates Strategies. Hansen will continue to work for Prince Harry and Meghan as she handles their international communications team.
Commenting on her employee’s transition, Meghan stated that both she and Harry take great pride in Ashley, particularly as a female entrepreneur. They anticipate benefiting from her specialised knowledge on their business and creative initiatives. Furthermore, Markle said, she and Harry are eager to support Ashley as she creates something truly special with her firm. In response, Hansen expressed her deep gratitude to the Duke and Duchess for their enduring trust in her.
She noted that their continuous support and faith in her new venture have been meaningful. She further recalled the times when they first hired her, emphasizing that they provided her with an extraordinary opportunity. Despite the mutual praise, Hansen becomes the 19th staff member to leave the Sussexes. This follows Josh Kettler’s resignation as their chief of staff in August after only three months.
