Meghan Markle has faced serious accusations from former staff, with claims of exhibiting “demonic” and narcissistic behavior. However, Steve Davies, a former bodyguard of the Duchess, challenges this narrative.

Meghan’s Ex-Employee Stands Up For Her!
The Duchess of Sussex has been at the center of many controversial reports. Multiple former staff members have accused her of acting like a monster with narcissistic traits. Some even described her as a “dictator in high heels”, according to several sources. These accusations include claims that she has bullied employees, yelled at them, and subjected them to emotional manipulation, making some men cry.
With many employees going public about her treatment, the media narrative has clearly turned against her. Since Meghan and Harry left the royal family and moved to California four years ago, more than a dozen employees reportedly quit their jobs. However, a former bodyguard is challenging this negative view of Meghan. Steve Davies shared his experiences working for her in an interview.
He has seen Meghan grow from a lesser-known actress to someone infamous in the media. Moreover, he believes that she has a bad reputation as an “evil person in the royal family.” Having met her in 2018, Davies observed her various activities, from acting to working with charities. Despite the negative claims and many staff exits, he felt more sympathy for Meghan.
His comments reflect how the UK media heavily focused on Toronto during her time there. The constant media scrutiny made Meghan feel paranoid. In the book, Finding Freedom, it’s mentioned that Meghan and Harry had a little time to think as paparazzi quickly descended on them. Meghan described how photographs constantly surrounded her rental home, making her feel unsafe.

Davies confirmed this, saying the situation made Meghan fearful. As a result of constant surveillance, she missed out on everyday activities, like grocery shopping, without being disturbed. He pointed out that things only got worse when she moved to England, where she felt like she was in a “goldfish bowl.” Meghan was used to managing her own public image, but Buckingham Palace took control away from her.
Davies, now a managing partner at a PR firm in Toronto, said that during Meghan’s time in Toronto, “Nobody had a bad word to say about her.” However, he feels it’s unfair, as the Duchess always went out of her way to help others. He’s hurt by the accusations because he knows her true character. When asked if he would work for Meghan again, he answered positively, saying she was a good person to work for and still is.
Davies added that he and his wife received an invitation to Meghan and Harry’s wedding and that they still exchange birthday and holiday wishes via email.
