On the latest episode of her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, Markle got real about her parenting journey. She teamed up with Cassandra Thurswell to spill the beans on what motherhood would look like. However, the reality eventually hit the Duchess hard when she encountered challenges. Meghan Markle: Archie & Lilibet’s Mom Spills the Beans
Meghan Markle always dreamed of becoming a mother and loved her early motherhood days. “‘Oh gosh, I’m going to give a speech with a baby on my hip.’ I had a whole vision,” she said. However, her cute fantasy involving her babies took a raincheck due to other factors.
In 2019, Meghan and Prince Harry welcomed their first child, Prince Archie. Sadly, the Sussexes had decided to step down as working royals just one year after the little Prince’s birth. They moved to the United States and settled down in a big Californian mansion. Fast-forward to 2021, Princess Lilibet joined the family of three.
Markle continued, “Granted, I had a lot of external things happening by the time I had both pregnancies and babies.” It was poles apart from Meghan’s version of motherhood, but she gradually embraced the change. Meanwhile, it was Meg and her husband’s collective call to keep their munchkins out of sight.
The Sussexes’ Love Story Turns 7!
The world only gets rare glimpses of Archie and Lilibet, and the As Ever founder explains why. “For me, it’s so important my kids see me as a working mom,” she explained. Recently, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary.
Markle treated us with a notice board full of nostalgic photos and scribbled notes. The snaps feature everything from their early relationship selfies in London to hanging out with elephants in Botswana. However, the true scene-stealers remain the childhood moments of the little royals.
We can see Meg’s baby bump pics and ultrasound scans, among other cute pregnancy moments. The board even featured emotional moments from when the American actress was expecting Archie. She captioned it, “Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories.” In addition, Markle took a moment to thank everyone who supported her relationship with Harry throughout.
