Meghan Felt The Inequality Between Harry and William
Meghan Markle believed that her husband ‘deserved more materially’ when he first showed her his royal home, the new royal book has claimed. Prince Harry used to live in Nottingham Cottage when he met his future wife and introduced her to William and Kate in 2017. As per reports, the ‘Nott Cott’ had two bedrooms and one bathroom, in comparison to Prince William and Kate’s spacious 20-room Apartment 1A.
According to royal correspondent Jobson, the Suits alum was instantly ‘taken aback’ by inequality between the brothers. In his new book, ‘Catherine: the Princess of Wales,’ released last week, the author wrote, “It is understood that when Meghan and Harry had gone round to have drinks at William and Catherine’s apartment, while they were still living at Nottingham Cottage opposite, Meghan had been ‘taken aback’ at the disparity between the brothers.”
At the time, King Charles’s younger son was residing in Nott Cott, and William was living lavishly. As per Robert, “It was perhaps the beginning of all the tensions between the two couples.” This issue about the living standards of Prince Harry was also later reflected in his 2023 memoir, Spare.

He admitted that he felt ‘embarrassed’ to bring Meghan to his home, writing, “I was excited to welcome Meg to my home, but also embarrassed. Nott Cott was no palace.” Royal watchers know that the estranged royal couple then shifted to Frogmore Cottage, which was a more spacious and private residence.
