The media frenzy over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s “marriage on the rocks” headlines is never-ending! But the Duchess of Sussex is brushing off the rumors like it’s no big deal. In fact, she recently called this phase of their relationship a “honeymoon period” during her first-ever podcast interview. It looks like love is still in the air for Harry and Meghan. What say?
Meghan Markle: Love Is Still In the Air?
During a raw and personal chat on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Meghan opened up about her love life. She beamed with pride, saying, “We’ve built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children.” Then, everything got extra sweet when she was told that Harry had been hyping her up in public.
For a little context, the Duke earlier revealed he’s “so happy” for Markle and grateful for everything she does. Moreover, the Suits actress was blushing because it was the first time she got to know about it. Next, she reciprocated the love and described him as a “great partner.”
She added, “I feel that every day in how supportive he’s been and is.” But hold on, the sweetness didn’t stop there! Meghan made an epic romantic analogy that fits well with her love story. She compared her hubby to a gaming legend, saying it’s similar to the end of Super Mario Brothers.
“Slay the dragon, save the princess. That’s my husband,” she joked. However, the best part was yet to come as Markle later called Harry a “fox.” Mind you, she is fully aware of just how dreamy her prince charming is. She said, “He’s also a fox, if you haven’t noticed. My husband’s very, very handsome.”
The Sussexes Are in “Honeymoon Phase!”
But again, it’s Harry’s “beautiful heart” that Meghan loves the most. What about the speculation that the Sussexes are falling apart after moving to the States? The American diva cleared the air and looked back on their decision to quit as working royals in 2020.
Furthermore, she described how they’ve grown stronger with time. “We immediately went into the trenches together, six months into dating,” Markle revealed. Now, seven years into their love story, they’re finally breathing and thriving. “I feel like it’s more of a honeymoon period for us now,” she clarified.
