Meghan Left Dismayed After Her New Brand’s Launch!
The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly ‘in tears’ over the ‘unfair criticism’ of her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. She announced her latest business venture in March and teased fans with vague details about her project. In the video that was shot at her and Harry’s mansion in LA, Meghan Markle was seen cooking in the kitchen and walking around the lavish grounds of their family home.
It was then revealed that the mother-of-two would be launching her own line of oils, nut butter, jams, kitchenware, home fragrances, and furnishings. The initial excitement surrounding the brand quickly faded after the release of its first product—a strawberry jam. According to Royal author and expert Tom Quinn, Meghan was reduced to tears when her brand was widely mocked online for being expensive and ‘nothing special.’
Back in March, Markle sent 50 jam jars to select individuals, including her close friends and influencers. Designer Tracy Robbins was one of the recipients and shared pictures of the hamper on social media. Despite these efforts, her brand product failed to gain the positive attention Meghan had hoped for.

Quinn also spoke to the Mirror about how Markle has reached a point where she thinks anything she does will be unfairly criticised. It seems like people pointed out that the jam was overpriced, leading to a wave of negative feedback that she found deeply upsetting. The royal expert continued to add, “She is especially sensitive about any criticism of her luxurious lifestyle in the US—from her point of view, this is something to be admired, not criticised.”
As per reports, Meghan Markle is thought to be planning a PR blitz in the run up to American Riviera Orchard going live. The Duchess will try to win over new followers for the brand while making a string of appearances on chat shows and podcasts.
