Royal news is buzzing after Meghan Markle’s brand, As Ever, made headlines for an unusual reason. An influencer recently ordered his new candle, but it arrived without a wick. The odd detail has left social media amused, with many calling it another “Markled” moment. Keep scrolling to know more.
No Wick In The Candle
Link Lauren, a social media influencer, recently shared his awful experience. It was about Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle products. And many items, such as artisanal food products, sparkling wine and scented candles are offered. Elsewhere, everybody’s attention was on the candles this time.
Lauren revealed on X that he had ordered the Signature Candle from the collection. The candle is known for a mix of water lotus, sandalwood and California poppy. It’s a scent that is inspired by The Duchess’s home and rituals. However, when the influencer opened the box, he found something missing. The $64 candle had no wick at all.
He also shared a note, “I got Markled! I unboxed Meghan Markle’s new $64 candle on my show today. There is no wick! Kind of a metaphor for her career. Nothing is lighting.” His video instantly went viral, and several people commented on it. However, the packaging was beautiful. But still, the missing wick overshadowed it. Many users joked about the term “Markled.” It means when something looks perfect from the outside, but doesn’t quite work as expected.
Royal News: What Meghan’s Brand Says About Her Vision
As ever’s official website says that the Signature Candle No. 084 is made from coconut apricot wax. Also, it includes coconut wax, soy wax, apricot oil, fragrance oil and paraffin wax. The scent reflects Meghan’s family home. Elsewhere, it is also somehow connected to her own joyful moments.
The candle fills the air with “fragrant sweet wood, delicate florals and California wildflowers.” This concept focuses on small luxuries that feel personal. As Eve also sells herbal teas, crepe baking mix, shortbread cookie mix, flower sprinkles, apricot spread and orange blossom honey. It’s a reflection of The Duchess’s California lifestyle.
Meanwhile, Lauren also tried the brand’s orange marmalade during his video. However, he didn’t enjoy its flavour. He called it strong for his taste. Yet he appreciated that the brand promotes artisanal products. “I got Markled” has now found new life online. For more Royal News and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
