EastEnders fans are left puzzled after Micah Balfour suddenly distanced himself from the BBC soap following his recent axing. The actor, known for playing Junior Knight, has quietly removed all traces of EastEnders from his social media. But what caused this surprising move? Micah’s Sudden Break From EastEnders
Micah Balfour was a part of the BBC soap for eighteen months. And now he has been shown the door. He entered the soap as Junior Knight, the estranged son of George Knight. However, he made sure his presence was felt.
He became the central character when it was discovered that Junior was having an affair with his father George’s ex-wife, Cindy Beale. It was one of the most terrifying storylines, and the entire Knight family went through a tough phase. But soon after that, Junior disappeared from the spotlight
And now the news is going around that he has already filmed his final scenes. And those scenes will be aired before Christmas. Elsewhere, it looks like Micah has moved on from the soap and his character completely. His fans noticed that there is no mention of the soap, unlike before. Now his bio simply says: “Actor, Gooner, Friend, Lover and Father. If you don’t know, you’d better get to know.”
It can be assumed that he isn’t looking back. Elsewhere, his last post on social media was back in September. It was a photo from the NTAs long before news of his departure was out. Micah, in a very short period, had become a part of one of the UK’s biggest soaps. And so his silence says a lot.
End Of An Era For The Knights
After Junior’s exit, there will be a major shift in the Knight family storyline. Former producer Chris Clenshaw had introduced the family. However, after Bem Wadey took over as an executive producer, things have changed. This shakeup had already seen many characters’ exits, including Molly Raniford, who plays Anna Knight.
One insider said that Ben wants to make his own mark, which has led to several exits. Elsewhere, George and his daughters were forced to leave the Queen Vic after George’s marriage to Elaine Peacock fell apart. Moreover, now that Junior will say goodbye soon, the Knight’s time is coming to an end.
Before joining the soap, Micah was in Emmerdale as Dr Jermaine Bailey. He also played PC Benjamin Gayle in The Bill. he appeared in Death In Paradise as a guest role. However, fans wonder why Micah didn’t post anything about his departure. Usually, whenever an actor leaves the soap, they express gratitude; however, that wasn’t the case with Micha.
