Miley Cyrus is gearing up for an appearance on David Letterman’s hit interview series, ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.’ In the teaser, she joked with the talk show host about her evolving fears, “My biggest fear used to be getting fired.” However, time has changed the 31-year-old singer big time! “Every time someone’s like, ‘Oh, they might kick you — maybe they don’t want you to do this anymore.’ I’m like, ‘Thank God.'”
In the promo clip, Cyrus performs for Letterman in a dimly lit bar, creating more buzz for the new episodes. The piping-hot interview will be hitting the small screen on June 12. Moreover, the upcoming season of the show will also feature an interview with sports analyst and former NBA star Charles Barkley. Anyway, Cyrus flaunted a brand new hairstyle in the teaser, striking a balance between big hair and Cali-girl highlights.
Her locks with face-framing curtain bangs, brunette long layers and undone ends offered a modern twist on classic ’60s glamour. She looked similar to icons like Loretta Lynn and Barbara Mandrell. In another snippet, the ex-Disney star shared an anecdote about inviting someone to be part of her show. But she didn’t reveal who this person was but she did open up about the origins of ‘Hannah Montana.’
The Malibu singer disclosed that the pilot initially featured a different actress in the lead role. “They did shoot a pilot with another girl, and then they showed it to children,” said Miley. However, the kids couldn’t relate to the original actress. Letterman joked, “The little brats,” to which Miley replied, “I love them for that.” Surprisingly, what caught everyone’s attention was not just Cyrus’ appearance on the show.
They cared more about Miley’s actual look! Her hair sparked a frenzy on social media. Some users praised her new look, with one user writing, “THE F-ING HAIR11????” The Flower hitmaker’s fan account chimed in, “THE HAIR IS GIVING.” Furthermore, the third user got all nostalgic by seeing Cyrus switching back to brunette and long hair.
Meanwhile, a few fans speculated about potential new music releases. “What we signing [sic] girlie??? New song, I hope?” asked a fan on IG.
