Todd and Theo have been trying to keep things on track lately in Coronation Street, but it looks like their relationship is heading straight back into stormy territory. A recent night out that should’ve been light and fun turns into anything but, and the tension between them spills out in a very public way.
Things Haven’t Been Easy for Theo
We’ve seen it for weeks, Theo’s been carrying some heavy stuff. After everything he went through growing up, especially being forced into conversion therapy and hiding who he really was from his ex Danielle, it’s no wonder he’s still trying to work through it all.
Todd, bless him, has been doing his best to be supportive. He’s stuck by Theo, tried to help him feel safe and accepted, and has stayed hopeful that love can fix it. But it’s clear the cracks are starting to show.
There was that awkward run-in not long ago when James Bailey made a move on Todd. Todd shut it down immediately, but Theo saw red. And instead of letting it go, he went outside and confronted James, told him in no uncertain terms to stay away from Todd, or things would get physical next time.
Gareth Pierce, said Todd’s trying to be patient and supportive. He explained that Todd wants to help Theo feel more confident in his identity, and that he still believes they can work through the mess. But Gareth also admitted that fans are probably seeing some troubling signs, little flashes of control and jealousy that Todd might be ignoring.
Theo Loses It During Night Out in Coronation Street
Now, new filming pics show things boiling over again, and it’s not pretty. Todd and Theo are out in Manchester’s Gay Village, having what looks like a normal night, but something clearly sets Theo off. Outside the club, he gets into a shouting match with a couple of strangers. Things get loud, fast.
Theo is worked up, and Todd ends up jumping in, trying to calm him down before it gets worse. You can see the stress all over Todd’s face. This isn’t the first time he’s had to deal with one of Theo’s outbursts. And it probably won’t be the last. For soap fans who’ve followed this storyline, it’s yet another sign that things are spiraling.
Todd’s always believed he could help Theo work through his past. But with the way things are going, that belief is starting to look shaky. These outbursts are becoming more frequent and more public, and it’s starting to wear thin. He’s tried to be the one steady thing in Theo’s life. But it’s starting to feel like he’s carrying too much. Watching Todd step in again and again while Theo loses control, it’s heartbreaking.
