Next week on Coronation Street, Debbie Webster finds herself in trouble without even realizing it. A heated moment at the hotel ends with an unexpected kiss. While she continues as normal, Ryan Connor is left shocked. Ronnie Bailey is about to get a surprise he didn’t anticipate.
Debbie Snaps and Ryan Steps Up
It all starts when a guest at the Chariot Square Hotel complains. Debbie loses her patience and responds with a rude comment loud enough for everyone to hear. The guest, displeased, pulls out their phone to start recording, and things nearly escalate.
Thankfully, Ryan steps in quickly. He calms the guest down, smooths over the situation, and somehow convinces them to delete the video. Just like that, disaster was avoided. But what happens next surprises him. Debbie, clearly relieved, turns to Ryan and kisses him. Yes, right on the lips. Now Ryan stands there, stunned. He knows Debbie has been struggling with young-onset dementia and he’s genuinely worried this could be a sign she’s not doing well.
Ryan Tells Ronnie Everything in Coronation Street
Rather than brushing it off, Ryan chooses to be honest. He goes straight to Ronnie and tells him about the kiss and his growing concerns for Debbie’s health. He makes it clear he’s not blaming her, but he feels Ronnie needs to be informed. Ronnie is completely taken aback. He’s been through a lot lately and is still deeply in love with Debbie. Hearing that she kissed Ryan, even if it wasn’t romantic, hits him hard.
A Corrie insider says this feels like another emotional blow just when he thought things might finally calm down. Adding to the awkwardness, Debbie doesn’t know any of this. She has no idea what Ryan has told Ronnie and doesn’t even seem to remember the kiss.
While the two men try to process everything, Debbie continues on as if nothing happened. Later in the week, Ryan talks to Debbie. He gently tells her that while he stepped in to protect her this time, the next assistant manager might not be so patient.
He’s not criticizing; he just wants her to understand that what happened could have ended badly. Now Ronnie is stuck. Should he stand by her, knowing her dementia may be affecting more than just her memory? Or does this push him to a point where he starts questioning everything?
There’s a lot at stake, her relationship, her job, and her health. If Debbie doesn’t get a handle on what’s happening, she could lose control at work and the people who have supported her all along.
