Prince Harry Follows The Footsteps Of His Mother!
Prince Harry went to Angola this week, following in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana. It was an announced trip, and everyone learned about it when he visited a minefield just like Diana did before her death. As a patron of the landmine clearance charity, the Halo Trust, he spoke to the families near the minefield. He visited alone, leaving Meghan and his kids due to safety concerns. This is quite different from the work the Duke focused on after stepping back from the royal duties.
Earlier, the couple was focusing on entertainment deals with Netflix and Spotify. Meanwhile, Jennie Bond, who is a royal expert, shared that this type of work is best for Harry. She told the Mirror that this work connects the Duke of Sussex to his mother. He is realising that the celebrity world isn’t for him. She added that Prince Harry is happy to let Meghan grab the spotlight there.
Diana Also Visited Angola!
Meanwhile, during the trip, Harry sheds light on the threat of the munitions in Angola. Diana also visited the country in 1997 and wanted to ban weapons. She also walked through the Huambo minefield. The Princess wore body armour and a mask. Jennie added that she was with Diana during her time in Angola. She told her that she was trying to be a humanitarian. She befriended a 13-year-old Sandra who was having the pain of another prosthetic limb. Harry met her to reflect on his mother’s work. Jennie said that it is good that the Duke is following in his mother’s footsteps.
Elsewhere, Prince Harry also said that children should never have to live in fear of playing outside or walking to school. Since 2008, 60000 people have been killed due to landmines. The trust has cleared more than 120,000 landmines and 100,000 bombs. The trust said that Harry’s visit shows continued support from the Angolan government and how the dangerous areas can be transformed into safe places. Thus, Harry’s move has been liked by many royal fans. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Royal updates!
