Prince Harry just broke his silence on something very personal to him. In 2024, the Sun ran a wild headline across its front page, dragging Harry’s name into a scandalous lawsuit. Does it ring a bell? We’re referring to the one involving none other than rap icon Sean “Diddy” Combs. With Diddy headed to trial for charges—including sex trafficking and racketeering —Harry is finally firing back! What does he have to say?
Prince Harry: Harry Calls Out The Sun For Shady Tactics
According to Prince Harry, Rupert Murdoch’s The Sun is plotting revenge against him by spinning wild rumours. The Duke of Sussex even called out the same tabloid because they have been badmouthing him for what feels like ages. It may be in retaliation for Harry’s big legal victory against their parent company, News Group Newspapers.
After years of battling in court over phone hacking allegations, Harry walked away with a solid win. He received a big payout and a rare and unconditional apology from the media giant. Additionally, News Group Newspapers finally admitted that The Sun had hired private investigators to spy on him between 1996 and 2011.
They tracked his every move and invaded his privacy to a disturbing degree. These undercover journalists also admitted to doing the same to his late mother, Princess Diana. Some tabloids responsible for those unethical practices have since gone defunct, but the damage still lingers.
Was Harry Involved in Diddy’s Alleged Crimes?
Meanwhile, The Sun claimed that Invictus Games founder was mentioned in a $30 million lawsuit by producer Rodney Jones. The suit also alleged that Diddy used high-profile names, including Harry’s, to give legitimacy to sex-trafficking parties. However, the suit never mentioned that Harry was aware of his involvement in the alleged crimes.
Still, it turned his life upside down, but now he’s finally speaking out about it. Meg’s husband claims the story was deeply personal, triggering serious mental health struggles for him and the family. He called the article a “revenge” hit job that “put a strain on his relationship with the royal family.”
Subsequently, the royal had no option but to leave the institution and relocate to North America. For the record, public info confirms Harry only met Diddy once, at the 2007 Concert for Diana. There, he posed for photos with William, Diddy, and Kanye. However, the US-based royal has never been to Diddy’s parties or concerts.
Unfortunately, that didn’t stop the press from painting a different picture. Keep checking out Soap Opera Daily for your daily fix of Prince Harry updates. Is the Duke speaking the truth?
