The Royal Family feud is something that is far from dying down. Amid the ongoing familial drama, Prince Harry has opened up about a man he now considers akin to his father. The paternal figure in question here is a certain Mr. David Foster who resides near Harry and Meghan Markle in Montecito, California.
Apparently, David, who happens to be a music mogul, has filled a huge void in Harry’s life that his separation from his father – King Charles III had created. A source close to the duo revealed that Prince Harry has found a father figure in this Canadian music magnate. Over the years, David has become a source of support and a confidant to the ousted Royal.
In fact, David’s wife, Katharine McPhee, described her husband’s bond with the Duke of Sussex as “like father and son”. Interestingly Katherine herself along with Meghan Markle were instrumental in the bond that developed between the two men. Back in the day, Meghan and Katherine attended the same middle school in Los Angeles.
Even though the two weren’t friends back in school, they struck a friendship when Katherine was starring in the musical Waitress on the West End. Their meetings often included their husbands, and that’s how Harry and David struck a bond with each other. When the Sussexes had first left the UK, David and Katherine were the ones who helped the couple find a place to stay in Canada.
Eventually, David, who is a 16-time Grammy winner, helped the royal couple find their $14.1 million rental home in Victoria, British Columbia, while they continued to look for a permanent home in California. “I was just happy through my friend to facilitate what I could for them, and it looked like they had a great rest,” David had told The Daily Mail in 2020.
The Sussexes moved to California in 2020, and have been inseparable from David and Katherine ever since. “My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry. They’re so cute,” David’s wife gushed to the media. Well, we are happy to hear that Harry has found dad-adjacent in David. However, we wonder what King Charles III would say to that!
