Prince Harry will be attending the 2024 WellChild Awards on September 30 in his role as the charity’s patron. This UK charity for seriously ill kids is one of the few causes that the Duke kept after stepping down from the duties of a senior royal working member in 2020. While discussing the same, Harry in a statement said, he is ‘honoured’ to celebrate “the remarkable courage and achievements of children living with complex medical needs.”
He also gave a shout out to dedicated nurses, caregivers and professionals to support the cause and inspire everyone. “It is a true privilege to recognize such extraordinary individuals,” he stated. The WellChild Awards honours the courage of kids battling with serious health issues and the support of their caregivers. This organisation has been very close to Harry for the last 16 years.

This year’s event holds a particularly personal significance for the Duke as he will be presenting the award for Inspirational Child (aged 4-6), a category that hits close to home considering his own son is just five years old.
