Prince William And Kate Middleton Face Bigger Political Role!
The royal watchers are aware that Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, visited the U.K. recently. Even though the American President visited King Charles III and Queen Camilla for his second visit, Prince William and Kate Middleton played a key role in the soft diplomacy efforts.
They are ready for many political assignments in the future. King Charles III is the first choice for Donald Trump to invite to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in July 2026.
Though it might seem like a good idea, the media thinks that the royals are trying to keep Trump happy. Donald Trump has kept many countries on edge, and his love for the royal family has involved them in U.K. -U.S. relations, irrespective of whether they like it or not. Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton are ready to step in as Charles has cancer.
Charles Wants William To Be More Than A Figurehead!
Donald Trump has been interested in the royal family since his first term, making the palace an important part of Britain’s diplomacy. A source told The Independent that the American President wants to welcome the royal family to the White House.
However, the royal family wants to stay out of it, but they are being drawn into it. In May 2023, Tom Jennings, who is the director of the National Geographic documentary Charles: In His Own Words, told SheKnows that King Charles wants the Palace to be heavily involved in international relations as he is hooked into that world.
Tom Jennings said that from watching King Charles’ actions, it is clear that he plans to change the monarchy. Two years ago, he said that the King would start addressing the political leaders, and it is happening in 2025. He believed that Charles would prepare Prince William for a role more than a figurehead.
He added that they will keep the Beefeaters, the Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace for tourism. However, he wants to modernise so that when Prince William takes over, it feels like a younger man’s monarchy. Thus, the royals are deeply involved in politics.
