William and Kate Disagree on Prince George’s Schooling
Princess Kate and Prince William remain split on their stances. William wants George to follow in his footsteps and attend Eton College, a prestigious all-boys boarding school. Interestingly, both William and Harry went there, breaking the family tradition of attending Gordonstoun in Scotland.
However, Kate isn’t on board with the idea. A source close to the royal family revealed that the future Queen is dead set against sending George to Eton. Why? It is because her own boarding school experience was rough. Middleton was “horribly bullied” at her first school, Downe House, and she ended up leaving mid-term.
Furthermore, she later became more comfortable at Marlborough College, a co-ed boarding school in Wiltshire. The Princess of Wales believes that sending George to Eton goes against their efforts to modernise the monarchy. She can’t bear the thought of George suffering in a stuffy, upper-crust institution like Eton as she did.
George will turn twelve in 2025, and another tradition awaits him! Per an important royal custom, he’ll no longer be allowed to travel on the same plane as his father and siblings. This milestone is adding urgency to their decision. The source revealed that this issue has sparked major arguments at Adelaide Cottage.
The Wales royals are reportedly “arguing” for hours. Kate appears to concede to William’s wishes despite her strong opposition. Also, the Prince of Wales seemingly “wins” the argument for now. This news comes amid Middleton’s break from public duties while undergoing cancer treatment.
So, it definitely makes the situation even more intense. If you want more such royal updates on Princess Kate, make sure to check out Soap Opera Daily. Should George follow his dad to Eton or pave his own path like his mom suggests? Share your views in the comments down below.
Don’t believe in all boys or girls schools. I think now that mixed schools. Both my girls went to all girls & now say they would have preferred mixed. I think now they would have dealt with mixing later on had they been at mixed.
