The royal fans are aware that Prince William and Kate Middleton are going to leave Adelaide Cottage soon. They moved into the place in 2022. However, they decided to leave the place and will shift to Forest Lodge. The Wales couple have decided to move permanently to the Georgian Mansion near Windsor Great Park. The Mirror reports that Prince William and Kate Middleton are adding new privacy measures at their new home.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have added new trees and shrubs around the property. Now they are also installing a new fence that will protect their place from the public. The royal observers recently saw gardeners and decorators at the home. They renovated several rooms, too.
The couple is funding the renovation themselves. They will pay the rent to the Crown Estate through William’s Duchy of Cornwall Estate. Furthermore, Prince William inherited a $1 billion estate when King Charles assumed the throne in September 2022.
The Couple Will Move Later This Year!
Though an exact date hasn’t been disclosed, they will be moving to the Forest Lodge by the end of the year. In June, they sent the plans to the Windsor and Maidenhead Council to make internal and external changes in the house. The council approved the request the following month. The home has eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a tennis court. It is priced at $21 million.
The royal followers learned in July that the couple wanted a bigger house with more space, gardens, and privacy. Furthermore, they want to keep things normal for their children so they won’t have any live-in staff. Their children’s long-time nanny, Maria Turrion Borallo, will move into a smaller house. The Wales couple’s new home is just half an hour away from Carole and Michael’s parents.
