Prince William ‘sought assurances’ that Meghan Markle would not wear any of Princess Diana’s jewellery before she tied the knot with Prince Harry, a bombshell book has claimed. Royal fans know that the Prince of Wales had concerns about Harry and Meghan dating.

Prince William Didn’t Want Harry’s Wife To Wear Diana’s Jewellery
William banned Meghan from wearing late Princess Diana’s jewellery at her wedding to Prince Harry. As per royal correspondent and author Robert Jobson, the royal father of three was concerned about his brother’s fast-moving relationship with Meghan.
In an excerpt from his upcoming explosive book, ‘Catherine, the Princess of Wales’, Jobson claims that the brothers’ relationship worsened before the 2018 nuptials. This led to William wanting assurances from their grandmother, the Queen, that Harry’s bride would not wear their late mother’s jewellery.

As for his own wife, William had proposed to Kate with the late Princess Dian’s famous 12-carat sapphire and diamond ring. The royal author also added that the bond between royal brothers worsened well before Markle joined the royal fold. Jobson disclosed that the Windsor wedding that took place in May 2018 was not as blissful as it seemed.
The royal family pretended to be happy in public, but there were discreet disputes all around. In the book, he wrote, “Despite sharp digs and thin skins on both sides, the wedding at Windsor in May 2018 was a spectacular success. In public, the Royal Family were all smiles, though privately they were at daggers drawn.”

Although Meghan did not wear any of Diana’s jewellery during the wedding ceremony, she famously wore her aquamarine cocktail ring to her evening reception along with her Stella McCartney halter neck dress.
