Prince William & Kate Middleton have been diligently active on social media platforms for some time now. And, the royal couple recently tried encouraging Princess Anne’s return to palace duties after suffering a head injury through a well-wishing post. But, their effort came off rather insensitively. The Royal Family Should Look After Princess Anne’s Health
The Prince and Princess of Wales issued a personal message to the Princess Royal after her return to duties last week. The duo took to their official X account and wrote, “Super trooper! So great to see you back so soon! W & C x.” As per reports, the royal couple was reacting to pictures of Anne during her first engagement since being released from Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where she was being treated for her head injuries.
Even though the palace did not release much information about Anne being kicked by a horse, it was clear that it was a serious incident. In the above pictures, the King’s sister looks unusually frail and weak. We can also see a bruise on her left cheek. If this isn’t bad enough, a source told the Daily Mail that Princess Royal cannot remember a single thing about the incident.
During her hospital stay, Anne missed nine royal events. Royal family fans know that the King’s sister has the strongest work ethic in the family. Ever since Charles and Kate’s cancer diagnosis came out, her royal duties have been more intense than ever.
We think it is slightly unfair to push hustle culture on a 73-year-old and try to encourage it by posting on social media. Many of you might not be aware, but Princess Anne carried out a whopping 457 engagements in 2023, the most of anyone in the Royal Family.

Furthermore, Kate and Prince William’s message ‘great to see you back so soon’ may not have pleased the royal’s doctors, according to The Mail. For obvious reasons, the doctors will want the princess to rest over the summer. Anne has garnered a reputation for being the hardest-working royal, she also shares investiture responsibilities with William. However, so far in 2024, Anne has carried out 17, whereas William has only completed eight.
It seems like the work ethic issue has creeped its way to the royals again. While no one blames Kate from stepping back, some royal authors believe that William and Camilla should be doing more. Head injuries can take some time to recover, and the royal family should look after one of its own. For more such updates on the royal family, keep following Soap Opera Daily!
