In a recent heartwarming revelation, Prince William gave royal fans a glimpse into his and Princess Kate’s bedtime routine, but it’s not what you might think! This is all away from the royal grandeur; the future king shared a delightfully personal detail involving a furry addition to his and Kate’s sleeping arrangements. It looks like the royal couple has a cuddly ‘third wheel’ amongst them. Read on to know more about it!
Prince William has revealed that he and Princess Kate let ‘their little dog Orla’ sleep in the bed with them. This comes after he was spotted giving attention to several dogs while visiting the Duchy College Stoke Climsland in Callington, Cornwall, on Thursday. The future was especially impressed by a black and white cocker jack owned by a lady named Louise Harland.
According to her, the dog jumped at the prince as he introduced himself to her handler. Royal fans know that William loves dogs so it was obvious that he gave attention to all the dogs on the campus. Harland also went on to describe how the royal father-of-three was ‘in love’ with her dog, saying he “gave him lots of loving” while spending time with the friendly canine.

The future then shared the story about how his own dog, Orla, absolutely loves to cuddle and even sleeps on the bed with him and Kate. He remarked, “My dog is exactly like this… loves cuddles.” The Prince and Princess of Wales currently have a spaniel called Orla, who was given to the family in the summer of 2020 by Kate’s brother, James Middleton. Their first black spaniel, Lupo, died in November of the same year.
During his visit to the college, Prince William also learned about various courses offered at the campus, including degrees in equine science, agriculture, and horticulture.
