The Prince of Wales followed in his mother, Diana’s, footsteps as he stood in front of Christ. It’s the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. In 1991, when Diana was in Brazil, she took a photo at the statue. Now, William was at the very same place where Diana had been. He was gazing at the stunning view of Guanabara Bay.
Prince William is in Brazil for the Earthshot Prize, hearing from this year’s finalists. A spokesperson told the media, “The Prince has loved meeting so many people from across Rio over the last few days. He’s been incredibly struck by how many people fondly remember his mother’s visit.”
