Prince Harry was always close to Kate and her kids, especially Princess Charlotte; this bond was proven once again at the late Queen’s funeral. It has been two years since the world said its final goodbyes to her after an incredible 70-year reign. After two weeks following her death at the age of 96, the former monarch was laid to a full state funeral at Westminster Abbey, followed by an emotional committal service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
During this ceremony, Charlotte and Harry shared a sweet moment that was noticed by royal fans. We know that Prince George and Princess Charlotte were amongst the youngest mourners at their great-grandmother’s funeral. They arrived at the chapel along with their mother, Kate Middleton, and Queen Camilla while Prince William and King Charles walked behind the Queen’s coffin.
Charlotte, the only daughter of Kate and William, was caught on camera fixing her cap before looking at Harry’s face, The Mirror reported. The young royal received a quick smile from her uncle when he looked up and met her gaze. Before the service, it was uncertain if George and Charlotte would walk in the procession in the chapel as their names didn’t appear in the order of service.

However, they took their places for their second role of the day in the committal service, seemingly following a decision by their parents, William and Kate. Earlier that day, the two young royals attended the state funeral service at Westminster Abbey with their parents and the 2000-strong crowd. We saw William and Kate walking by their kids’ side rather than in front of them, with Kate holding her daughter’s hand. For more such updates on the royals, keep following Soap Opera Daily!
