Prince Harry does not have many allies in the Riyal Family anymore after he stepped away in 2020. Even Kate Middleton, who has played peacemaker between Harry and the rest of the family, has taken a step back now. While this may be a very alienating experience for the Duke of Sussex, he has found a new ray of hope.
Prince Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, has stepped up in support of the prince. Currently, the princess resides in Portugal with her spouse Jack Brooksbank. They also share two children, August and Ernest. A source close to the Royal Family claims that the 34-year-old princess wants her children to have a warm and healthy bond with her cousin Harry, and his children – Archie and Lilibet.
Considering the hostility and the strained relationship between the family and Harry and Meghan, Eugenie is truly making a bold and risky choice. “The children are not going to grow up as friends of William’s children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, thus, a bond with Eugenie’s kids will be the only royal friendship they will have,” the source pointed out.
If Harry chooses to spend time in Portugal and lets his children mingle with Eugenie’s children, then that will be at least one royal door open for him if he ever wishes to return home. It is said that Harry and her cousin do share a close bond, despite the difficult family relations. Two years ago, Eugenie went to Montecito with her spouse to meet the Duke and Duchess. The two couples were photographed going to the Super Bowl and dining out in Santa Barbara.
The insider confirmed the above by stating that Harry and Eugenie forged a close bond by spending a lot of time together when they were growing up. Thus, it is understandable that she has a soft spot for the Duke, and still wants him and his family to be part of her life. But how will the rest of the Royals react to her stand?
