James Middleton Dishes on Prince William
According to The Daily Mail, the brother of Princess Kate reflects on those early memories with a lot of warmth. The book is slated to be released on September 24 in the U.S.. In the memoir, he recalls the excitement of bringing his new puppy, Ella, to his family home in Berkshire. It was exactly where the royal couple happened to be staying.
Prince William was already an integral part of their lives, and it wasn’t long before he and Ella bonded. Moreover, James describes how he introduced Ella to the Prince of Wales and his wife, letting her make a grand entrance! By early 2010, Kate’s brother was spending more time in London with his sisters and Ella. It meant more time with Prince William too.
Additionally, Middleton admits he was cautious at first, wanting to ensure that William was truly worthy of Kate. Luckily, The future King’s affection for Ella helped WIN James over! The four-legged baby provided a much-needed escape for William, especially during their competitive family card games. How? He often used Ella as a reason to duck out of the intense game sessions.
He preferred to spend time with her rather than compete. Furthermore, in another part of the book, James recalls the buzz around Kate and William’s engagement announcement. He and his family learned about the engagement just before the official news broke during a low-key moment at a local pub. Thankfully, seeing William and Kate together felt surreal but also reassuring.
