Things have been tense between Tane and Harper in Home and Away lately, and the emotional distance is starting to show. While Tane searches for a way back into her life, Harper’s walls remain firmly up. Meanwhile, a major twist in Theo’s case brings Lacey back into dangerous territory—just when everyone thought the threat was over.
Tane Attempts to Bust Through
Tane waits for the perfect moment to sit down with Harper and hash everything out, but she’s not yet ready. She keeps him at arm’s length and ultimately informs him that he just needs to go home. She obviously needs space, but Tane’s not going to leave that easily.
He speaks his mind the following day. This tension between the two is not working, and he reminds her he’s not going to let her freeze him out. Harper confesses that she has been trying to avoid having him in the house, and as a compromise, Tane suggests providing her with some space by spending the day with Archie. It’s a step in the right direction, maybe the step they both need to begin to move forward.
Gage Gets Caught in Home and Away
Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Theo wakes up. But rather than worry about himself, he’s worried about whether or not Lacey is okay. His mind’s obviously still with her. Lacey makes a full statement to Cash at the station. When Cash goes to visit Theo, Theo verifies that it was Gage who brought the car down on him, just as Lacey had testified. That’s enough for Cash to finally arrest Gage.
But then there’s the curveball. Cash shows up to see Gage being led away in handcuffs, and he spots Lacey standing by his side. He’s clearly flabbergasted, but Lacey says this was her master plan all along. By sticking with Gage when the police arrived, no one within the gang would ever suspect she assisted in taking him down. She protected herself by playing along.
And just when things begin to calm down, Leah gets in on the act. She has a word with Lacey in private and reminds her not to go see Theo again. Leah plainly believes she’s doing the right thing by her nephew, but is she only making a bad situation worse? As always Summer Bay never stays quiet.
