The new security line has transformed the daily lives of numerous residents who now feel that their worries have been ignored. Keep scrolling to find out more.

Locals Say Public Access Has Been Cut Without Warning

According to local people, they were informed in September that over 150 acres of the open land would be off-limits to them. In addition, the paths that they had been using for years were shut. There’s a strict 2.3-mile exclusion zone surrounding Forest Lodge. And if anyone is caught inside that boundary could be arrested under the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act. Locals say these sudden restrictions ambushed them. Moreover, even their concerns were dismissed.

Elsewhere, many dog walkers and residents said that they were shocked when they learnt that several paths and green areas had been closed. Moreover, no proper, clear explanation was given. Others complained they have been unable to use alternative entrances. It’s because the parking is limited. One resident living in the area for twenty years called it “gutted”. He said the fields had been a part of their daily life.

Another called the security level “Excessive.” They say that even though protection is required, it is far beyond what the area previously required. Elsewhere, there is also one homeowner who loves the opposite Forest Lodge. The person was disappointed as families were affected. According to them problems of the nearby residents were not considered. Elsewhere who stay within a mile of the park can pay £60 for certain areas. However, the new boundary made that privilege meaningless.
