After the service, Kate will walk through the memorial grounds. She will view the newly dedicated names which were added this year. Then she will meet veterans who served in different branches of the military. Elsewhere, she will also hear their stories. People who have met her before say that she always listens closely. She even shows genuine warmth to those she meets.

Royal News: Remembering Service And Sacrifice

Kate is going to meet a group of secondary school students who are from military families. And amongst them, many have their parents deployed currently. She wants to highlight the strength and sacrifices of these service families who also support their loved ones despite being far apart.

She will then view a special exhibition titled Letters from the Frontline: Words, War and Victory. It’s partnered with the BBC radio stations across the Midlands. It brings emotional letters from the final months of World War 2. Visitors say that it is one of the most touching displays ever held at the Arboretum.
