Sabrina Carpenter rocked her own set at the festival in Luton, but that wasn’t the end of her time on stage. Fans caught Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, slipping in a line from Carpenter’s recent hit ‘Espresso’ at the end of their song ‘Fix You.’ The fans were confused, but little did they know that it hinted at an upcoming surprise! Martin then cast a magical spell on the crowd by bringing out Carpenter for a duet.
The duo performed ‘Magic’ from Coldplay’s 2014 album’ Ghost Stories’. After their performance, Martin just couldn’t stop commending her, saying, “Your lyrics are amazing, and you’re amazing!” An excited Carpenter responded, “I love Coldplay. What is this? Give it up for Coldplay – what the hell?” By the way, Coldplay has some big plans before they stop making music in 2025.
The British rock band announced that their upcoming album, ‘Moon Music,’ is nearly finished. Additionally, they’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut EP’ Brothers & Sisters’ by releasing a special edition. This reissue, coming out on November 15 via Fierce Panda, will feature all three original tracks on a gatefold double BioVinyl seven-inch record. Plus, they will also drop a bonus spoken word track, ‘The Story Of Brothers & Sisters.’
Next month, Coldplay will make history as the first act to headline Glastonbury for the fifth time. The guys will share the Pyramid Stage with SZA and Dua Lipa. Their most recent album, ‘Music Of The Spheres’ was released in 2021. Martin mentioned how “intense” it could be to keep releasing new material in a chat with NME. Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter is riding high with her hit ‘Espresso’. Even Adele has called it “my jam.”
Carpenter released the bop in mid-April, and it has been climbing the charts since then. This catchy nu-disco track has been holding its own against Taylor Swift’s songs from her double-disc ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Furthermore, the Tall Girl actress wrapped up her stint supporting Swift on the Eras tour, joining her for dates in Latin America, Australia, and Singapore.
Swift even dubbed her a “sweet angel princess.” Now, Carpenter is quickly ascending to pop royalty herself. Did you love catching Sabrina and Coldplay live together? Drop your thoughts below! And keep returning to Soap Opera Daily for more Sabrina and Coldplay updates!
